– Participated in Gamescom as a stand-alone booth behind the game server SaaS
– Conducted official service in Korea for five years, spurring overseas expansion after being recognized for its stability
– Expected to promote Korea’s game server technology overseas
AFI (CEO Kwon Oh-Hyun), which operates the native game server platform ‘ Backnd;’ announced that it would participate as a standalone booth at ‘Gamescom 2023’ in Cologne, Germany, from August 21 to 27.
The game server SaaS, ‘Duk-end,’ is characterized by the fact that even beginners without server knowledge can easily use the functions necessary for game development. Backend started its official service in 2018 and serviced various server functions required for game development and operation.
Over the past five years, the back-end service has already been verified for its stability and technology by more than 3,600 domestic developers. It is expected to improve the game development environment by introducing Korea’s outstanding game server development capabilities to the global market.
Backend currently provides ‘Backend Base,’ an asynchronous server function essential for game development, such as login, notice, event, real-time DB management, receipt verification, ranking, guild, and push alarm. In addition, it provides ‘Backend Chat’ to build a real-time chatting environment, ‘Backend Match’ for real-time multiplayer, and ‘Backend Function’ to create your server program.
Kwon Oh-hyun, CEO of AFI, said, “We have been providing behind-the-scenes service to run together for the success of our client companies.”
Meanwhile, Backend is also carrying out various activities for the success of domestic indie developers, such as sponsoring the Busan Indie Connect Festival (BIC), which will be held from August 25 to 27. More information can be found on the Backend website ( www.backnd.com ) and at the Gamescom online booth.
