Attack by a flock of radioactive zombie sheep… Cooperative comedy horror ‘Flock Off!’

    By Editorial Team2026년 06월 09일5 Mins Read
    • Debut Title from Former EVE Online Developers, Demo Unveiled at Steam Next Fest
    • A ridiculous struggle against a herd of radiation-contaminated zombie sheep , a cooperative survival game of laughter and chaos

Icelandic Reykjavik indie studio Bunkhouse Games and publisher Shoreline Games have unveiled a new gameplay trailer for the 1-4 player cooperative PvE action-adventure game ‘Flock Off!’ for the first time in the world on IGN Live and announced that they will be showcasing a free demo at Steam Next Fest, which will take place from June 15 to 22.

Flock Off!, currently under development with a target release on PC (Steam) in the second half of 2026, is a cooperative action game set in the Scottish Highlands where players fight against a flock of radiation-contaminated undead sheep. This demo includes the prologue and the ‘Lochblight Forest’ stage, allowing up to four players to experience a chaotic survival battle together.

A ridiculous zombie sheep commotion unfolding in the Scottish Highlands

The biggest feature of Flock Off! is its unique material and atmosphere.

A flock of zombie sheep waddling over the green hills of the foggy Scottish Highlands creates a unique scene that blends horror and comedy. The combination of a peaceful countryside landscape and the zombie sheep instantly captures the game’s distinctive atmosphere.

The sound also supports this atmosphere. The game creates delightful chaos through a combination of eerie sheep bleating, cheerful sound effects, and unpredictable accidents that occur during cooperative play.

From bed sheets to friends… everything that appears becomes a weapon.

A key element of the ingenious gameplay is the creative use of the environment.

In Flockoff!, almost any object found in the surroundings—such as bed sheets, potatoes, bookshelves, boomboxes, trash bags, and glue bottles—is used as a weapon. Each item has a different function, such as the boombox luring enemies or emitting special effects, and the glue bottle restricting the movement of sheep.

You can even pick up a teammate and use them as a weapon. The developers explain that they focused on pursuing the fun of unpredictable cooperative gameplay through these physics-based interactions.

In the Steam Next Fest demo, you will explore the prologue and the Lochblight Forest region, facing off against endless hordes of undead sheep. Players can choose from four characters to participate in combat, including an elderly Scottish male character.

The first project created by developers from EVE Online

Bunkhouse Games is an indie studio founded by veteran developers who gained experience at CCP Games’ ‘EVE Online’, as well as Ubisoft and Tripwire Interactive.

Creative Director and Co-founder Ólöf S. Magnúsdóttir said, “I am delighted to be able to make the zombie sheep game I have long dreamed of a reality,” adding, “I look forward to the day we can present this special project, filled with laughter and chaos, to players.”

Unique subject matter and extraordinary plot development, attracting attention from global media.

Since its reveal on IGN Live, Flockoff! has garnered attention as a unique cooperative comedy horror game, with numerous international media outlets rushing to cover it.

ComicBuzz introduced Flock Off! as a “unique action game combining chaotic cooperative gameplay with delightful humor,” while British gaming media outlet XPN Network noted the game’s distinctive regional character and sense of humor, stating, “It is hard to imagine a zombie game more Scottish than this.”

Community reaction immediately after the reveal was also positive. Users showed interest in the ingenious concept, with comments such as, “There are many zombie games, but this is the first time I’ve seen a zombie sheep game,” “I want to try it just for the premise that you can throw a friend as a weapon,” and “It seems like a mix of Left 4 Dead and Goat Simulator.”

While zombies are familiar, games featuring herds of zombie sheep are rare. With cooperative action set in the Scottish Highlands and physics-based combat utilizing all kinds of household items, Flockoff! stands out among the many cooperative games.

Interest is growing in how this game, which combines unique subject matter, enjoyable cooperative action, and physics-based interaction, will be received by cooperative game fans after its official release.
