    Smilegate Joins Taiwan’s Largest Indie Showcase, G-EIGHT 2025 — Accelerating Its Push Into the Asian Market

    Smilegate announced on December 2 that it will participate in G-EIGHT 2025, Taiwan’s largest indie game exhibition, held in Taipei from December 12 to 14. Now in its fourth year, G-EIGHT has become a flagship event representing Taiwan’s indie ecosystem and a major hub for discovering new Asian indie titles.

    STOVE PLAY TOUR in G-EIGHT: A Dedicated Booth Showcasing Six Indie Titles

    For this year’s event, Smilegate will host a standalone booth under the theme “STOVE PLAY TOUR in G-EIGHT,” featuring the slogan “Open Smilegate, Explore K-Game Worlds.”
    A total of six titles published directly by STOVE will be showcased.

    Among them is “Alley: Gwihun,” a Korean horror game that has gained strong momentum since launch. In addition, four new indie titles published by Smilegate this year will make their Taiwan debut:

    • Maid of the Storm (폭풍의 메이드)
    • Sanyoung Lab (사니양 연구실)
    • No Over-Immersion 2: Summer Pocha (과몰입금지2: 여름포차)
    • Alley: Gwihun (골목길: 귀흔)

    Curated across diverse genres and tones, the lineup reflects the growing interest in K-indie games throughout Asia.


    Upcoming 2026 Releases Also on Display: V.E.D.A & Archetype Blue

    Two anticipated titles slated for release in the first half of 2026, “V.E.D.A” and “Archetype Blue,” will also be featured.
    Both projects have garnered attention for their distinctive world-building and polished presentation, emerging as strong contenders in Smilegate’s globally focused indie publishing lineup.


    Three Major Asian Indie Festivals in a Row

    Smilegate will appear not only at G-EIGHT 2025 but also at two other major regional festivals:

    • WePlay Expo 2025 (Shanghai) — December 22–23
    • Taipei Game Show 2026 — Early next year

    Through this three-event tour, Smilegate aims to deepen its engagement in the Asian market and accelerate the overseas reach of K-indie games.

    The company plans to spotlight innovative indie creators discovered through the STOVE platform and introduce their projects directly to local gamers. The strategy aims to strengthen STOVE’s competitiveness, expand Smilegate’s publishing capabilities, and establish a foothold in broader global markets.
