Tumblbug, a crowdfunding platform run by Backpacker (CEO Kim Dong-hwan), announced on the 16th that the limited edition goods funding project for Neowiz’s 2D action game ‘SANABI’ has ended with cumulative donations exceeding 1.4 billion won.

In 2021, developer Winderpotion received support for the initial production cost of 72 million won through Tumblbug and released the 2D action platformer game ‘Sannabi’ on PC and Nintendo Switch in November 2023. Sannabi won the Indie Game Award at the ‘2022 Korea Game Awards’ before its official release and was ranked 4th in the game category of the ‘2023 Search Word of the Year’ selected by Google. On the PC game platform ‘Steam’, it receives favorable reviews, recording an ‘overwhelmingly positive’ rating at 97%.
Kim Dong-hwan, CEO of Backpacker, said, “We have confirmed our unrivaled position in the field of IP project, film, music, and game content discovery with our record-breaking funding performance since the beginning of the year. “We will support and cheer on creators in various fields,” he said.
Tumblbug has attracted a lot of attention in the field of movie and game content, taking first place in the domestic crowdfunding market with Magical Girl: Another World Idol (4.198 billion won), third place animation ‘Moonlight Angel’ OST (2.63 billion won), and third place in the domestic crowdfunding market. In 4th place, the You Are My Country documentary (2.61 billion won) and former President Moon Jae-in’s documentary, the game Oh My Prince, and Digimon OST received more than 1 billion won in funding.
Tumblbug plans to ship Sannabi limited edition goods sequentially starting May 19th.
