Smilegate Future Lab on the 19th, It was announced that recruitment has begun for indie game development teams and individual creators to participate in the indie game festival ‘BeaverRocks 2026’ .
Beaver Rocks is the largest indie game creator and user festival in the Seoul metropolitan area, aiming to expand the domestic indie game development ecosystem and support creators. It has provided creators with opportunities to showcase their work and network with fellow developers, while offering users a chance to discover and experience new indie games.
The event has recorded approximately 44,000 cumulative visitors over the past four years and is growing into a global indie game festival as the participation of overseas creators increases every year.
Beaver Rocks 2026, marking its 5th edition this year, will be held on an expanded scale at SETEC Exhibition Halls 1 and 2 in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The event is scheduled to take place for three days from December 18 to 20.
Recruitment for exhibition teams will take place from today until 6:00 PM on July 27 via the official Beaver Rocks website. Any team or individual currently developing an indie game is eligible to apply. Whether a game has been released, or whether investment has been secured or a publishing contract has been signed, does not affect eligibility. Works previously submitted to the event may also be resubmitted.
Selected participating teams will be provided with exhibition booths and equipment free of charge. In addition, a feedback report summarizing user responses collected during the event will be provided to support their utilization in the actual development process.
In addition, opportunities to win the ‘Beaver Featured’ award, selected through mutual voting by participating creators, will be provided, along with the operation of a creator lounge and networking programs for developers.
