Superfast (CEO Kim Kang-an) is investing a total of 11.1 billion won to revitalize the indie game ecosystem and is pursuing investment and publishing projects targeting promising indie game companies.
On the 18th, Superfast announced that it is conducting a large-scale support project to discover promising indie developers and connect them with everything from funding to publishing and global business expansion.
This project is part of a ‘Culture Tech Company’ strategy to expand beyond simple game publishing into various content and cultural domains based on game IP.
Superfast aims to be a culture tech company that integrates games, entertainment, and technology, and aims to build a ‘global content universe’ where a single game IP does not remain within games but expands into webtoons, fashion, offline spaces, and more.
As the first step toward this, Superfast will hold its first Demo Day at the end of June. At the event, they plan to publicly recruit candidates for the next generation of global hits featuring diverse genres and unique characteristics.
Demo Day operates not merely as a presentation event, but as a “practical investment platform” where investment screening and publishing discussions take place simultaneously on-site. For selected developers, investment and publishing support tailored to the project scale and development stage is reviewed immediately.
The finally selected developers will receive direct investment along with concentrated support from Superfast’s core competencies, including global publishing, marketing, and data-driven operations. In addition, the plan is to provide office infrastructure at key locations such as Seongsu, Seoul Forest, and Jeju, creating an environment where developers can reduce cost burdens and focus on development.
Kim Kang-an, CEO of Superfast, stated, “The core of this project is not merely financial support, but rather discovering developers with fresh ideas and creating a structure that allows their IPs to grow into sustainable businesses.” He added, “We will provide full support to ensure they evolve beyond simply being entertaining games into ‘Super IPs’ capable of competing in the global market.”
Meanwhile, starting with this project, Superfast plans to expand the creative ecosystem centered on indie games and create a new flow of content that extends beyond games to the entire cultural industry.
