• The Mission: Discovering and nurturing “hidden gems” in the indie scene, from pre-founders to early-stage startups.
  • The Funding: A total of 8 companies will be selected for grants ranging from 20M to 40M KRW.
  • The Power-Up: Strategic partnership with Com2uS Holdings for professional consulting and global acceleration.
  • Deadline: Applications close on April 6, 2026, via the e-Naradoum portal.

Gyeongsangnam-do (Gyeongnam Province) and the Gyeongnam Culture & Art Foundation have officially opened recruitment for the “2026 Gyeongnam Global Game Center Indie Game Production Support Project.” Designed to lower the barriers for creative minds, this initiative focuses on providing both capital and industry expertise to teams in their most critical early stages.

From Sketch to Screen: Support for Early Creators

This project specifically targets the “roots” of the industry. Eligible applicants include pre-founders and registered game companies within 5 years of establishment.

Unlike the standard “Gyeongnam Game Production Support” program—which offers higher funding (up to 90M KRW) but requires a more established presence—this Indie Track is focused on expanding the base of the local ecosystem. It welcomes not only Gyeongnam-based teams but also outside developers willing to engage with the region’s growing game hub.

The Com2uS Synergy: Beyond the Check

The standout feature of the 2026 program is the involvement of Com2uS Holdings. As a leading mentor company in the 2026 KOCCA indie support initiatives, Com2uS brings a wealth of global publishing and development experience to the table.

Selected indie teams will receive:

  • Direct Production Grants: Tiered funding based on project evaluation.
  • Expert Consulting: Tailored advice on development strategy and business modeling.
  • Global Acceleration: Roadmap planning for international market entry, leveraging Com2uS’s extensive network.

“We want to provide a solid foundation where developers with creative ideas can truly grow,” stated Kim Jong-bu, Director of the Gyeongnam Culture & Art Foundation. “Our goal is to boost the competitiveness of the Gyeongnam game industry and help our local stars shine on the global stage.”
