The Gwangju Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency (Director Lee Kyung-joo, hereinafter referred to as GICON) announced on the 3rd that it will be recruiting for the 11th ‘IndiStars’ until the 27th (Friday) to support the production and startup of indie game developers with excellent ideas in the region.

‘Indie Stars’, now in its 11th year, is a representative talent development program of the Gwangju Global Game Center, and is operated with the goal of discovering local game talent and strengthening creative capabilities.

The 12 teams selected through the evaluation will receive monthly activity expenses of 400,000 won per person for approximately six months from May to October. Furthermore, various customized programs will be provided, including one-on-one mentoring with current experts, an “Indie Stars Day” event to share production know-how, and follow-up development support of approximately 1 million won per team.

In this 11th recruitment, graduates of the 1st and 2nd classes of the GCC Military Academy were given an additional 2 points (2 points) equivalent to 2% of the total score during the selection evaluation, thereby further strengthening the connection with the institution’s human resource development project.
