An expanded gameplay video has been released for the new labyrinth-building roguelike game ‘Minos’ .
Global indie game publisher Devolver Digital has announced that it has released a new game called IGN Fan Fest unveiled the latest gameplay footage for the new labyrinth-building roguelike , Minos . The video details the strategic system of designing traps and fending off adventurers as the legendary Minotaur.
“Minos” is a labyrinth-building strategy roguelike where players become the Minotaur, a monster from Greek mythology, and defend their sanctuary. Gamers must design their own labyrinth, place traps, and prepare for battle to prevent countless adventurers from invading.
In the video, Artificer director Katzper Simczak appears in person to explain the game’s core structure. The game’s most notable feature is its proactive design approach, which goes beyond mere “defense.”
Adventurers enter the labyrinth, hearing rumors that defeating the dark monster will bring them honor and reward. However, the entity that designed this maze, the entity that set its deadly traps, and the monster that awaits them at the end are all the same: the protagonist.
“Minos” isn’t simply a defense game where you wait for enemies. You can rearrange walls, doors, and rotating passageways to guide or confuse enemy movements. Designing the battlefield by altering the terrain is a key strategy.
If invaders penetrate too deep, you can directly control the Minotaur and engage in combat. This hybrid tactical gameplay, combining trap design with real-time action combat, sets this game apart.
‘Minos’ is currently in development, aiming for a PC (Steam) release in the spring of 2026. A trial version is currently available on Steam, allowing you to experience the game’s strategic and puzzle-like fun firsthand before its official release. Additional news about the game will be revealed through Devolver Digital Korea’s official X account (@Devolverkr).
