NEOWIZ announced on December 24 that the Nintendo Switch version of Sanabi Spin-off: Haunted Day, a 2D action platformer developed by Wonder Potion, will be released globally on January 15, 2026.

Haunted Day is a prequel to the critically acclaimed indie title Sanabi, taking players back to the past of protagonist Major Song and his first encounter with the mysterious Brigadier General. The story centers on uncovering secrets hidden within a robot scrapyard, expanding the lore of the Sanabi universe.

Unlike the main game’s iconic chain-arm mechanics, Major Song employs a shotgun and blade-based combat system, offering a faster and more aggressive action style that distinguishes the spin-off from the original.

Free Digital Release for Nintendo Switch Users

One of the most notable aspects of the announcement is that the digital version of Haunted Day will be available for free on Nintendo Switch starting January 15. According to NEOWIZ, the decision reflects a commitment to fans and an effort to introduce more players to Sanabi’s expanded narrative universe.

Physical “Signal Redux Edition” Pre-orders Begin

In addition to the digital release, NEOWIZ revealed plans for a physical Nintendo Switch package titled “Signal Redux Edition,” scheduled for release in February 2026.

This edition bundles both the main game Sanabi and its spin-off Haunted Day. Pre-orders begin on December 24 via select Korean retailers, including Shinsegae I&C’s Naver Store and Soprano’s Naver Store operated by Gamepia.

All pre-order customers will receive a limited-edition acrylic stand, with shipments scheduled to begin sequentially after the pre-order period concludes in February.

Steam Winter Sale Discounts Also Available

Meanwhile, NEOWIZ is participating in the Steam Winter Sale through January 5, 2026, offering:

  • 35% off Sanabi
  • 10% off the Sanabi Original Soundtrack

Both the main game and its spin-off currently hold an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, reflecting continued strong reception from global players.

Expanding the Sanabi IP

A NEOWIZ representative stated:

“With the Nintendo Switch release, we hope to further expand the value of the Sanabi IP and allow more players to experience its extended storyline. We also hope the Signal Redux Edition will become a meaningful collectible for fans.”

Sanabi gained international recognition for its distinctive Joseon-era cyberpunk setting, stylish action, and emotionally resonant storytelling. The spin-off Haunted Day, which launched on Steam on November 27, has continued that success, earning praise comparable to the original release.
