Gachon University’s early employment contract program for the 2026 academic year (September 8-12, 2025) has concluded its rolling admissions process. The Department of Game and Film attracted significant interest, recording a competition rate of 25.67 to 1. This rate ranks among the highest among game-related departments nationwide, and its practical curriculum, centered on field-friendly education and industry-academia collaboration, is believed to have significantly influenced the selection of prospective students.

The competition among partner companies was particularly notable. Dodo Studio Co., Ltd. recorded competition rates of 56.00 to 1, Repor Games Co., Ltd. 41.67 to 1, and Lunosoft Co., Ltd. 40.00 to 1, demonstrating the high demand for industry-linked education and early employment opportunities for students.

Gachon University’s Department of Game and Film Studies, funded by the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), operates as an “early employment contract department.” Currently, it has established partnerships with 185 companies, enabling students to participate in on-site corporate projects even before graduation. This system creates a virtuous cycle: students can enhance their competitiveness by combining academics with practical experience, while companies can secure field-specific talent early.
