Neowiz (Co-CEOs Seung-cheol Kim and Tae-geun Bae) announced on the 12th that it will participate in the ‘Game·e-Sports Seoul 2025 (GamEsportSeoul 2025, hereinafter referred to as GES 2025)’ held at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Jung-gu, Seoul, with indie games at the forefront.
“GES 2025” is a gaming and e-sports festival hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and organized by the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency (SBA). It will be held for three days, from September 19th to 21st, at Dongdaemun Design Plaza Art Hall 1.
Neowiz will be setting up a dedicated booth at the event dedicated to indie games and will be operating a game demo area where visitors can play them themselves. A total of four games will be on display, including the new action rogue-lite game “Shape of Dreams” released on the 11th, “Sannabi Side Story: Haunted Day,” “Hello Seoul: Itaewon,” and “Kill the Shadow.” All are published by Neowiz, and among them, “Sannabi Side Story: Haunted Day” will be revealing a portion of its build for the first time at this “GES 2025.”
On-site events will also be held to encourage interaction with fans. Visitors who complete missions, such as playing a game, adding to their Steam Wishlist, or participating in a survey, will receive indie game merchandise like key rings and can badges.
A Neowiz official said, “We are delighted to showcase Neowiz’s unique indie games at ‘GES 2025,’ a leading gaming event in Seoul,” and added, “We will continue our efforts to discover and support excellent indie games in the future.”
Meanwhile, among the entries, ‘Sannabi’ announced the development of its first side story, ‘Sannabi Side Story: The Day I Was Possessed’, through Steam’s ‘Developer Notes’ on the 8th. The side story will cover the story of ‘Song So-ryeong’, a member of the Special Mission Unit of the Armed Forces’ Ui Geumbu, before she meets ‘Brigadier General Geum’, the protagonist of the main ‘Sannabi’, and will feature 8 regular stages and 2 bosses. The release date has not been set yet.
