UModeler, a company specializing in 3D content development tools, announced on August 5 that it has officially released the Personal license for ‘UModeler X’, an all-in-one tool that allows for everything from modeling to painting directly within the Unity editor.
This release focuses on enabling individual creators, including indie developers, 3D artists, and VRChat and Zepeto creators, to more easily create high-quality 3D content. Since all features operate within the Unity Editor, scenes can be implemented immediately without the need for external tools.
UModeler X provides an all-in-one environment that allows modeling, UV editing, texture painting, animation, and rigging-free motion application directly within Unity, without the barriers to entry or complex task switching of existing DCC tools (Blender, Maya, etc.).
This allows indie game developers to quickly create prototypes, 3D artists to check quality in real time without iteration, and VRChat/Zepeto creators to create content and publish it right away.
‘UModeler X Personal’ provides various functions such as modeling, rigging, painting, curve mesh, and text tools within the Unity editing tool. It also has AI-based texture generation and UV unwrapping support, SketchUp style application, and a development environment fully integrated with Unity. All of these functions are intuitive enough that even beginners can learn them in less than an hour, and it is structured to save both time and money.
This personal plan can be subscribed to on the official website of Yumodeler, and new users can try it for free without registering a card.
To celebrate the launch of UModeler X Personal license, UModeler has announced an upgrade offer for existing Unity Asset Store users. Purchasers of UModeler X Plus will receive a free one-year Personal license and will automatically be granted a Perpetual Reserve License (PFL), allowing continued use without a subscription.
Additionally, original UModeler users will receive a 30% discount on the first year of a Personal license, and will have the opportunity to obtain a Perpetual License (PFL) if they maintain their subscription for one year.
“Many Unity creators want to simplify the complex 3D production process,” said Jaesik Hwang, CEO of Yumodeler. “The personal license will provide them with an intuitive and powerful production environment, while also providing them with an opportunity to expand their creative freedom.”
