Smilegate Hope Studio (CEO Kwon Hyuk-bin) announced it will hold the ‘2024 PLAY FUN&GOOD Forum’ at 3:00 PM on November 15th in Room 303, Building 1, BEXCO, Busan.
This forum, co-hosted by Hope Studio and the Korea Association of Game Industry, will be held under the theme ‘Sustainability of Social Contribution through Cooperation between Various Entities in the Game Industry.’ Presenters for the forum include Professor Taejin Yoon of Yonsei University (President of the Digra Korean Society), Director Soonjoo Lee of Devsisters Oven Games, CEO Jaehyung Park of indie game developer Oldice, and game streamer Seorim Park. Caster Sorim Jeong will serve as moderator.
The 2024 Play Fun & Good Forum will introduce successful cases of Hope Studio creating social value with various game companies, game users, etc. Hope Studio Team Leader Park Jae-hee will introduce the ‘2024 Youth Esports Festival’ held in August in collaboration with Nexon Foundation, Kakao Games, Daejeon Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency, etc., and examine social contribution activities in the form of collective impact.
Professor Yoon Tae-jin will present on ‘Healthy Game Companies, Game Users, and Suggestions for Restoring Communication’. Old Ice CEO Park Jae-hyung will introduce ‘Flawless Darkness’ and present on improving user game accessibility. Flawless Darkness is an indie game developed to allow escape from a maze by just listening to sounds. It was well-received, winning the Good Game Award at the ‘2023 Korea Game Awards’.
