The Gyeonggi Content Agency supports the successful self-publishing (direct entry) of game developers in Gyeonggi-do who want to enter the global game market. It announced that it is recruiting for the “2024 Game Commercialization Support Project,” as follows.

“For this recruitment, around four companies will be selected as the 2nd recruitment, and we plan to support approximately 35,000,000 won per game. Due to the recent difficulties in the industry, many small and medium-sized game companies are expected to apply. Still, due to the characteristics of the 2nd recruitment and the recent indie, “Given the atmosphere of the gaming industry where the justification for support is being strengthened, indie game companies are also worth supporting,” said a gaming industry official, explaining expectations for indie support for this project.

○ Support target: Game developer (corporation/individual business) located in Gyeonggi-do (address on business registration)

○ Support period: 2024. 7. ~ 11. (approximately five months)

○ Support details: Support for self-publishing (direct entry) into the global game market for game developers in Gyeonggi-do

○ Support areas: Marketing, QA, translation & LQA, technical support, etc. Select the necessary fields within the support scale

Recruitment target

○ Games that the developer is preparing to publish ‘directly’ in ‘overseas’ countries (*Select games that can be released within August 31st)

– (Not yet released) A game planning to enter the overseas market at the completion stage of game development.

– (Released work) A game is currently being serviced domestically but is preparing to expand directly overseas.

– (Released work) A game currently being serviced overseas, but is preparing to advance further into new regions.
