The Netmarble Cultural Foundation (Chairman Bang Jun-hyeok) announced on the 24th that it held a launching ceremony for the 3rd boot camp of the ‘Netmarble Game Academy.’

The Netmarble Game Academy Boot Camp is a program that trains experts specialized in game development through intensive mentoring for students with game development experience and capabilities.

The online launch ceremony was attended by 42 students selected for the 3rd boot camp, Lee Na-young, secretary general of the Netmarble Cultural Foundation, advisory committee members, and mentors to commemorate the event and strengthen their resolve.

Professor Kim Tae-gyu of Kwangwoon University, who sent a congratulatory message via video, said, “Game development is not an easy journey that requires persistence and passion.”

Kim Hye-ran, a professor at the Korea University of Visual Arts, said, “Just as creativity is demonstrated in the process of solving difficult problems, I believe that everyone who participates in the Game Academy will demonstrate their potential in a challenging process.”

The 3rd Netmarble Game Academy Boot Camp will be held twice a week until the end of August, and the entire course will be conducted online. Participating students will be allowed to release their games on the App Market, and the Netmarble Cultural Foundation will also hold a game competition where students can demonstrate their abilities, awarding excellent works and prizes.

On the other hand, the Netmarble Cultural Foundation, which was launched in 2018 to expand the value of a healthy game culture, nurture future creative talent, and spread a culture of sharing, is conducting various and specialized social contribution activities centered on three areas: ‘creating culture,’ ‘nurturing talent,’ and ‘sharing minds.’
