■ Joseon fantasy reasoning game from a story game developer founded by ‘Yeokdeok’

The indie game platform ‘Stove Indy’ selects the full PC version of ‘Cheonggu Yadam: Paldo Gyeonmunrok’ (hereinafter referred to as Cheonggu Yadam), a Joseon fantasy mystery game being developed by Kosdots (CEO Jeong Jae-ryeong), a Korean history game developer, as a target for the funding pack program and launches He said he was actively supporting it.

The ‘Funding Pack’ program, introduced in November last year by Stove Indie, is a program that provides practical support from funding to launch for indie game developers to launch their games. Developers participating in the ‘Funding Pack’ program can receive additional support of 50% of the successful crowdfunding amount, up to a maximum of 10 million won.

In addition, it includes not only support for development costs but also support for deliberation, creation, and promotion, encompassing all support for game launch. In addition to administrative and financial support, it is a ‘one-stop service’ for indie game creators who can receive general mentoring such as government support project guidance, game development, industry prospects, business strategy, and advice for the success of games such as follow-up funding know-how.

Stove Indie selected ‘Course Dots’ ‘Cheonggu Yadam: Paldo Experiences PC Complete Edition’ as the 4th recipient of the funding pack program. Cosdots is an indie game developer that has been continuously developing games based on Korean history since the company was established in 2021 after forming a team in 2018 and starting with ‘Unfolded: Camellia Story.’ The second work of ‘Kosdots,’ ‘Cheonggu Yadam,’ was very popular when it introduced the mobile version in 2022, achieving 550% of the target amount in Tumblbug funding.

The full PC version of ‘Cheonggu Yadam’ is a mystery game with a fantasy background of the Joseon Dynasty, where monsters appear. Gamers become Dosa Jeong, an expert in monster eradication, and solve incidents related to monsters that appear in various parts of Joseon through various episodes based on traditional tales from each region.

The full PC version of ‘Cheonggu Yadam,’ which can be found at Stove Indie, contains the entire story that can be purchased separately from the mobile version, and in addition to this, you can enjoy an additional pack of 10 episodes.

Jae-ryeong Jung, CEO of Kosdots, who was selected as a recipient of Stove Indie’s funding pack program, said, “The complete PC version of Cheonggu Yadam has been produced thanks to the interest and support of existing mobile users. With this PC version, we want to challenge the expandability of shipbuilding games beyond the mobile market. It is an honor to be able to start this with the Stove Indie Funding Pack, and we will do our best until the release.”

The demo version of ‘Cheonggu Yadam,’ which is scheduled to be released in February 2024, can be played on Stove Indie. Crowdfunding for ‘Cheonggu Yadam,’ starting on the 30th (Fri), can be requested through the Tumblbug page.
