Korea Creative Content Agency, Sogang University Industry-University Cooperation Foundation, and Korea Indie Game Association are recruiting creative trainees for the ‘Indie Game Developer Fostering Mentoring’ program from today (19th) to May 2nd to carry out the 2023 Content Creative Talent Accompanying Project. revealed
The ‘2023 Contents Creative Talent Accompaniment Project’ is a part of the Korea Creative Content Agency’s support project, which supports apprenticeship mentoring by field experts in the field of content creation to nurture prospects who will lead the future content industry, and develops the creative abilities of young talents. It is a program that has been operated every year since 2012 with the goal of creating jobs and jobs.
The Sogang University Industry-University Cooperation Foundation, which has been carrying out the project for the 7th year this year, is the leading organization that operates the ‘Indie Game Developer Training Mentoring’ and assigns game industry experts (mentors) to participate mentees to provide indie game planning, art, programming foundation, etc. for about 6 months. We support mentoring necessary for indie game production and participate in individual project development and various field projects.
Anyone between 18 and 34 with creative aptitude and knowledge can apply for the project, and single developers can apply. A total of 28 people (teams) are recruited, and 14 field developers act as mentors. In addition to mentoring, the final selected mentees receive 1.5 million won per month in creative support. In the meantime, numerous indie games have been nurtured through this business.
Representative works include The Bricks’ ’30 Days’, which received the Good Game Award at the 2022 Korea Game Awards, Pump Kim’s ‘AltF4’, which was recently published with Gravity, and Mephisto Waltz’s ‘Little Beings in the Abyss,’ as an indie game publisher. The famous Nickillas has completed the mentoring process for fostering indie game developers under the Creative Talent Accompaniment Project, including Pixelian’s ‘Babel’ and Google Indie Game Festival Top 10 Olive Crow’s ‘Great Sword’ in 2020.
