The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Creative Content Agency, and the Game Culture Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the Foundation) operate the ‘2023 Game Culture Family Camp (hereinafter referred to as Camp)’ with the intention that games can be a tool for family harmony.

The camp is a two-day, one-night workshop to help the whole family understand and enjoy the game properly. The participants are families and living communities (hereinafter referred to as families) with children from 1st grade to 6th grade in elementary school.

The first camp of 2023 will be held at Alpensia Resort in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, from Friday, April 28 to Saturday, April 29. The program consists of various times for the whole family to enjoy together, from a light understanding of the game to solving the guardians’ concerns and thrilling games, such as △Game culture quiz contests, △Family unit e-sports competition △Game literacy education for guardians △Arcade game experience corner do. In particular, it is expected that the family competition between Kartrider Rush Plus (Nexon Korea) and Brawl Stars (Supercell), games that children and adults can enjoy, will be a thrilling and realistic match prepared by professional game casters. Families who want to participate can apply for free on the foundation website until 10:00 am on Monday, April 10th, and after screening based on the motive for application, families with no participation history will be given priority and informed individually.
