Neowiz (co-representatives Kim Seung-Cheol and Bae Tae-Geun) announced on the 17th that the PC package game ‘SANABI,’ which was published by Wonderpotion (CEO Seung-hyun Yoo) and developed by Neowiz, won the Indie Game Award at the Korea Game Awards.
The Korea Game Awards, hosted by the Korea Game Industry Association and hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, was held at BEXCO in Busan on the 16th. Games that shined in 2022 will be selected in a total of 14 categories, including Grand Prize, Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Technical Creation Award, Indie Game, and Indie Game Award.
‘Sanabi’ was honored with being selected in the Indie Game Awards category. ‘Sannabi’ is a 2D action platformer game that showcases Joseon’s cyberpunk chain action. Neon art realized with dot graphics and the setting of the Joseon Dynasty create a unique harmony, and it enjoys steady popularity with the modifier ‘Chosun Cyberpunk.’
In fact, since the early access release on the global game distribution platform Steam in June of this year, it has been evaluated as ‘overwhelmingly positive (97%)’. The game is being developed to be released in the first half of 2023.
Yoo Seung-hyun, CEO of Wonderpotion, an indie game developer, rose to the podium. He said, “I am grateful to my colleagues and Neowiz who have worked hard together,” and “I will repay the honor of winning the award by accelerating development until the official release.”
