Stoic Entertainment, a developer of virtual reality (VR) game contents, announced on the 25th that it has signed a service contract with Naver Jet for the rhythm action game ‘Beat Racing (working title)’ to be installed on the metaverse platform ‘ZEPETO’.
ZEPETO is Asia’s largest metaverse platform with over 300 million cumulative global subscribers.
Stoic Entertainment is developing a rhythm action game ‘Beat Racing (working title)’ based on music familiar to Metaverse users by using ‘ZEPETO WORLD’, a development tool introduced by Naver Jet last year, with the goal of release within the year.
To this end, Stoic Entertainment finished recruiting the core developers of the online rhythm action game ‘R2BEAT’, which was popular with rhythm and racing in the past.
In addition, in order to solve the issue of copyright for sound sources used in the development of rhythm action games, and to provide game difficulty suitable for each user’s skill, we collaborate with PhDs from Yonsei University’s autonomous driving research institute. It is also planning to actively introduce artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms in the Metaverse game.
CEO Yunhwa Choi and Hongseok Kim of Stoic Entertainment said, “We have created a ‘fun’ metaverse world by integrating AI technology with the know-how of developing and servicing many 3D (3D) virtual reality (VR) games over the past 8 years, providing always enjoyable game contents. I want to contribute to making it.”
