Support for game companies expanding overseas… Up to 150 million points provided
Global partnership with Google Play… App Store promotion support

The Korea Content Agency (KOCCA, President) has officially announced the call for applications for games to participate in ‘2026 Game Plus,’ a program supporting the direct overseas expansion of domestic small and medium-sized game companies. The application deadline is March 25, and applications can be submitted online through the KOCCA Business Management System (pms.kocca.kr).

■ Two tracks: Performance-driven and Early Entry… Approximately 20 companies selected for each

This program is divided into two tracks based on whether or not there is prior experience in direct overseas expansion. The ‘Performance Generation Type’ applies to games that have already completed an official overseas launch as of the announcement date and wish to expand into additional overseas markets, including their existing release regions. The ‘Initial Entry Type’ targets games that have no history of overseas launch and wish to enter at least one new overseas market. Approximately 20 companies in total will be selected across each track: 15 for mobile and 5 each for PC, VR, and console.

■ 50 million basic points, up to 150 million points depending on performance

Support is provided via points rather than cash, with 1 point equivalent to 1 won. Selected companies will initially be provided with 50 million basic points that can be freely used within the Game Plus service platform. Subsequently, additional points will be provided twice to top-performing games following performance evaluations. Since each additional payment is 50 million points, high-performing games can receive up to 150 million points. However, companies must first disburse 2.5 million won in cash, equivalent to 5% of the basic points.

Points can be freely selected and used for services within the Game Plus platform, such as consulting, localization, marketing, and infrastructure. However, using more than 70% of points for a single service is prohibited, and marketing may be suspended if a ROAS of 50% or less is not achieved during the marketing service.

■ Establishment of global partnership with Google Play… Support for App Store promotion of outstanding projects

One of the biggest changes for Game Plus this year is its global partnership with Google Play. This is expected to include support for the promotion review process on Google Play for outstanding projects, seminars and training on global launch strategies, and onboarding support for selected cross-device developers. However, specific details are subject to change depending on discussions with Google Play.

■ Early Entry models must be launched by August 31st.

Companies selected for the Early Entry Type must complete their official overseas launch by August 31, 2026, and if the launch is not completed within the deadline, all points used may be recovered. The launch deadline may be extended by up to one month following a preliminary application and review. On the other hand, the Performance Generation Type has no separate launch deadline.

In addition, after selection, game service-related information such as monthly revenue, downloads, DAU, retention, and publishing contracts must be submitted to KOCCA every month.

■ Two-stage evaluation (written and presentation)… Final selection in April

The selection process proceeds in the order of a written evaluation in early April, a presentation evaluation in mid-April, and final selection in late April. Only projects scoring 70 points or higher in both the written and presentation evaluations will advance to the next stage, and the final total score consists of 30% from the written evaluation and 70% from the presentation evaluation. The signing of the agreement is scheduled for May.

■ Submission before the deadline is strongly recommended… Missing documents will result in exclusion from evaluation

Applications must be submitted through the KOCCA Project Management System (pms.kocca.kr), not e-Naradoum; submissions via mail or in-person visits are not accepted. Required documents, including the project application form, participation criteria checklist, consent form for the collection, use, and provision of personal information, business registration certificate, game video, and game executable file, must be compressed into a ZIP file under 50MB. Submission before the deadline is recommended, as there is a possibility of errors due to simultaneous access on the deadline day.
