• 5 years of development, the UK animation studio’s first original IP debut
  • Supports various modes including up to 4-player co-op, cross-play, and a single-player campaign.

Indie publisher Curveball Games and Cardiff, Wales developer Cloth Cat Games unveiled the cooperative party game ‘Planted!’ on the 8th. The game is scheduled for release in 2026 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch platforms, with physical versions also planned for release on PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

The vegetable garden is a battlefield… “Plant, grow, and throw”

Planted! is a unique cooperative party game that transforms a peaceful garden into a competitive arena. Up to four players cultivate crops in the arena and compete by using them to earn points or hinder opponents. Various environmental elements, such as dodging potato turrets or detonating weed bombs, act as variables in every match.

The core of the game is ‘preparation and choice.’ Players must cultivate crops strategically during a match and decide whether to aim for greater rewards even if it takes time, or to act quickly to keep opponents in check.

Completed crops serve as a means to earn points and a tool to disrupt the opponent’s flow. Whether it is growing giant crops using fertilizer, stealing the opponent’s harvest, or turning the tide with various power-ups, every choice depends on the player’s strategy.

8 Arenas, Local, Online, and Solo… Diverse Play Modes

Planted! supports various play styles. You can enjoy local multiplayer in the same space or compete against friends or rivals online, and cross-play between PC and consoles is also supported. For users who prefer to play alone, a single-player campaign set in a competitive gardening world is also available.

The game features a total of eight arenas, and each stage demands strategic diversity through its unique structure and mechanics. Additionally, a wide variety of character options allows players to select a character that suits their style. Another key feature is its design, which incorporates an intuitive system accessible to everyone while still providing strategic enjoyment through repeated play.
