- Com2uS Holdings Selects 8 Start-up Game Companies in Gyeongnam and Provides Intensive Mentoring
- ‘Leaping into Practical Capabilities’ with Close 1:1 Support from Production to Global Marketing
Gyeongsangnam-do announced that it will launch the ‘2026 Next-Generation Seed Indie Game Discovery Project’ this year and begin full-scale operation of a practical training program linked to production support.
This project targets eight promising companies in the indie game sector, which consists of creative games produced by small development teams or individuals.
The eight companies selected through the separately promoted indie game production support project (total of 250 million won, up to 40 million won per company) will be provided with follow-up support, such as close mentoring in partnership with medium-to-large game development companies.
Considering that the local game industry faces growth limitations due to a lack of development infrastructure, the province plans to strengthen its commercialization capabilities through collaboration with mid-sized game companies.
To this end, Com2uS Holdings, a mid-sized game company listed on KOSDAQ, and the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Promotion Agency completed the signing of a business agreement last December, laying the foundation for cooperation.
Based on this, Com2uS Holdings, a KOSDAQ-listed company, conducts up to eight or more in-person mentoring sessions and online consultations for the entire process, including platform launch, marketing, game launch, and service operation support (publishing).
In addition, we plan to operate investment attraction presentations (IR) and exchange programs in conjunction with major game companies in the metropolitan area to foster tangible commercialization results, such as publishing and investment attraction, and to expand the foundation for local indie game companies to enter the global market.
Jeong Young-cheol, Director General of the Culture and Sports Bureau of Gyeongnam Province, stated, “This project is significant in that it goes beyond simple game production support to provide practical growth opportunities that enable entry into larger markets through collaboration with major game companies,” adding, “We will continue to discover and nurture promising indie game companies to expand the scope of Gyeongnam’s game industry while strengthening its foundations.”
