A startup that turns ducks into humans and helps them find things.
“Lost and Found Co.” begins with a unique premise. The protagonist is a little duck named Ducky . Transformed into a human through magic, Ducky becomes an intern at the Lost and Found Company, a magical startup that helps find lost items.
Gamers take on the role of Ducky, tasked with finding lost items for the townspeople. Along the way, the story unfolds as the dragon goddess Mei regains her lost powers.
Each stage in the game is filled with thousands of hand-drawn objects and characters . Beyond simply finding hidden objects, the core of the game is interacting with the characters and uncovering their stories.
26 hand-drawn stages, hidden stories
The game features over 26 hand-drawn stages . Each scene is densely packed with countless objects and characters, and the more you explore, the more details you’ll discover.
Interact with the townspeople and experience lighthearted yet heartwarming stories. After completing basic hidden object puzzles, players can enjoy more challenging explorations in bonus challenge levels. Furthermore, you can also enjoy decorating Ducky’s office to your liking using items discovered throughout the game.
There are Easter eggs and hidden secrets hidden throughout the stage, providing additional fun for gamers who explore carefully.
“We put a lot of effort into every element of the game, from the characters and background to the story, gameplay and music, with the goal of creating the best hidden object game ever,” said Richmond Lee, CEO of BitEgg, in a release statement. “We wanted to create a very vivid world with thousands of uniquely drawn objects and animations.”
Southeast Asia’s largest indie studio, founded in Chiang Mai
BitEgg, the creator of Lost and Found Co., is a Thai independent game studio founded in 2015. Hailing from the Bay Area, CEO Richmond Li and co-founder Stephen Liu launched their studio in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where Richmond spent his childhood, to tap into the Southeast Asian indie scene. With offices in Chiang Mai and Bangkok, BitEgg has grown into one of the largest independent game studios in Southeast Asia, with over 80 employees.
The studio has earned high praise for its art and animation, collaborating with global game companies like Square Enix, WayForward, and Jam City. Furthermore, artists from renowned Japanese animation projects like Digimon have joined the team, creating a unique visual style.
Currently, a team of about 20 people is dedicated to developing their own IP, and the veteran founding team from Zynga and 6waves is leading the development of their own games such as Zecha Tactics and Lost and Found Co.
While their debut, “Corgi Run,” didn’t quite make it big, it won an award at the Bangkok Indie Pitch Arena, marking the studio’s launch. Later, “Neko Samurai” surpassed one million downloads on the App Store. After three years and three art direction changes, Lost and Found Co. is Bitegg’s most ambitious PC debut to date.
Praised by both media and users, “A thoughtful touch amidst chaos.”
Reviews from specialized media outlets were generally positive. GameGrin, a gaming media outlet, awarded the game a perfect 10 points , calling it “an anime-inspired hidden-object adventure that combines passion and detail.” SECTOR gave it a 9 point rating, describing it as “a relaxing, healing game that combines rich environmental detail with simple, accessible gameplay.”
User feedback has also been positive. The Steam community continues to respond with comments like, “Even after completing a level, I can’t leave the screen and keep searching for something else,” “Decorating the office is more fun than I thought,” and “The background music keeps lingering in my ears.”
The game won the Grand Jury Award and Best Visual Art at Level UP KL 2024, Most Anticipated Game at Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2024, and Best Art Direction at the PlayPrime Awards 2024. It has also garnered significant attention even before its release, having been featured in succession at major events in the indie game community, including Wholesome Direct 2024 and 2025, the Tokyo Game Show, and the Taipei Game Show.
The story of a little duck that finds lost items perhaps resembles the process of rediscovering the small pleasures we’ve lost in our daily lives. Completed after three years of twists and turns and three shifts in artistic direction, Lost and Found Co. is a work imbued with the developer’s passion and sincerity.
With thousands of hand-drawn objects and a heartwarming story, this game adds a warm imagination like the Chiang Mai sunshine to the familiar hidden object genre, leaving a lingering aftertaste for gamers.
