The simulation game ‘Park Hee-jong’s Defender Reconnaissance’, created by game developer Park Hee-jong, has been released on Steam.
Defender Recon is a low-poly combat flight simulator featuring a fully interactive cockpit. With graphics inspired by flight simulators from the 486 era, the game focuses on recreating the MD 500 “Defender” reconnaissance helicopter, aiming for a crossover between arcade games and flight simulators.
Gamers pilot a Defender helicopter across a randomly generated battlefield in a simulator, supporting friendly forces and destroying enemy forces. Equipped with a variety of weaponry, players can engage enemy infantry, vehicles, and anti-aircraft weapons directly, or switch to a transport configuration to transport friendly special forces. In addition to joystick, keyboard, and mouse input, the game supports TrackIR and VR for an even more immersive experience.
Park Hee-jong’s Defender Recon is free to play on Steam, with an optional Supporter Edition available for purchase. The Supporter Edition includes the MD 530F, an upgraded version of the game’s default playable aircraft, the MD 500MG.
