The world-shaking indie game festival ‘Beaver Rocks 2025’ is coming… Early bird tickets go on sale starting on the 15th.
■ A special game exhibition based on Naver Webtoon IP and the experimental game festival “Out of Index” will be held simultaneously.
Smilegate Future Lab (CEO Kwon Hyuk-bin) announced on the 15th that it will hold ticket pre-sales for the indie game & culture festival ‘Beaver Rocks 2025’ from October 15th to December 4th.
Tickets for Beaver Rocks 2025, which will be held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza from December 5th to 7th, can be purchased in advance during three early bird periods through ‘Naver Reservation’ and ‘Ticket Link’.
During the “Super Early Bird” period, running from today until the 19th of this month, tickets can be purchased for a significantly discounted price of 5,000 won, down from the regular price of 15,000 won. During the “First Early Bird” period, from October 20th to November 2nd, tickets will be sold for 7,000 won, and during the “Second Early Bird” period, from November 3rd to December 4th, tickets will be sold for 10,000 won. During the event period, from December 5th to 7th, tickets will be sold on-site at the regular price.
Beaver Rocks, a festival venue where creators and users can enjoy together, operates online and offline exhibition halls and will showcase around 80 carefully selected indie games. This year, in particular, they plan to showcase special collaboration content based on an even stronger partnership. As part of this, Future Lab and Naver Webtoon will collaborate to showcase a prototype game based on a webtoon IP developed for “Beaver Jam with Naver Webtoon,” which will be held this month, at Beaver Rocks. Visitors will be able to play games created based on popular webtoon IPs and vividly experience the result of familiar stories being reinterpreted as games.
The experimental game festival “Out of Index,” which received rave reviews last year for its special exhibition “Games Outside of Games,” will be holding its entire festival at the Beaver Rocks venue this year. The festival will showcase unique games that blur the lines between genre and imagination.
In addition to the booth exhibitions, a variety of stage events are also a must-see. A variety of guests, including indie game developers, renowned content creators, and voice actors, will take to the stage to share behind-the-scenes development stories and engage with fans for a special time.
Future Lab Director Oh Sook-hyun said, “This year, we have changed the name of the event, so you can expect major changes,” and added, “We will make multifaceted efforts to ensure that Beaver Rocks becomes an opportunity for growth for indie game creators and a festival where visitors can discover new joys by encountering novel and attractive indie games.”
BEAVER ROCKS is the largest indie game and culture festival in the Seoul metropolitan area, established to expand the domestic indie game ecosystem and support creators. With over 28,000 cumulative attendees as of last year, it has established itself as Korea’s leading indie game festival. This year’s event, now in its fourth year, will be held at DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza) from December 5th to 7th.
