– Completed with 27 years of sound design experience and technical collaboration with a young development team.
– Supports real-time music, sound effects, and voice actor creation, as well as libraries, editors, and subscription services.
– Expected to be an essential platform for indie game companies and educational institutions.

The AI-based game sound platform ‘Game Sound AI ( gamesound.ai )’ jointly developed by game sound specialist company Changjogongjakso and the young AI development team ‘Bada’ was officially launched on the 30th.

This project was completed by combining Bada’s AI technology with the sound database that Creation Workshop has operated for over 20 years and 27 years of accumulated sound design experience. Three related technologies are currently pending patent applications.

Game Sound AI is an integrated sound production platform that automatically generates music and sound effects required for game development, and even supports voice actor synthesis and editing. Users can input text or images to achieve the desired sound atmosphere, and by combining it with the extensive sound library owned by Creative Studio, they can utilize existing data and AI-generated results in parallel.

Users can request the sound they want through the sound request bulletin board as needed, and a service is also available where professional designers can custom-make and provide the sound.

The platform can produce context-sensitive music and sound effects in real time, and also offers the ability to synthesize voice lines with a variety of tones and emotions. It features an editor that allows you to place and edit sound in conjunction with video, and its USB storage function allows you to continue working without any restrictions on location.

Project-level collaboration is also possible, allowing multiple developers to work together on sound. Furthermore, in addition to EQ, compression, and spatial reverb, essential effects like chorus and distortion can be utilized to achieve professional-level quality. Furthermore, a hybrid production method combining automated generation and manual refinement allows for the production of sounds across a wide range of genres and cultures.

Bada, the co-developer of this project, is an AI specialist team comprised of Shin Ha-jun (Department of Computer Engineering, SUNY) and Kim Do-hoon (Department of Electrical Engineering, Daejin University). This development was funded by investment from the Creative Workshop and is currently preparing to establish a domestic corporation. The Bada team is also planning follow-up AI projects, with the goal of continuing to expand its technology in the future.

Typically, AI-based audio platforms offer music, sound effects, and voice synthesis as separate services, costing between 30,000 and 50,000 won per feature. GameSound AI, on the other hand, offers all three services integrated into a single subscription model, offering both cost-effectiveness and convenience.

The subscription model is priced at approximately 30,000 won per month. Cost-effectiveness is enhanced by a policy that allows users to continue using the sound they created even if they cancel their subscription after the game’s release. This could be a practical alternative for indie game companies and student developers, and educational institutions such as Jeonju University and Game Meister High School are preparing to introduce the platform for educational use. The platform can also be utilized in university lectures, public institutions, and organizations.

Shin So-heon, CEO of Creative Workshop, said, “Game Sound AI is a platform that combines our long-accumulated experience with AI technology, and will be able to increase the efficiency of sound production and expand accessibility.” He added, “We will strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic and international game audio industry by combining automation services with high-quality studio work.”
