The Daejeon Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency is recruiting new companies to move into the Daejeon Global Game Center until the 20th to revitalize the local game ecosystem and discover indie game developers and aspiring entrepreneurs.
This residency program is open to game-related companies registered for game production or distribution, aspiring entrepreneurs, indie game developers, or teams. Individual spaces are available for game companies or aspiring entrepreneurs, while shared spaces are open to game companies, aspiring entrepreneurs, indie game developers, or teams.
Selected tenants will be provided with various support benefits, including rent exemption (for three years from the first move-in date), use of Daejeon Global Game Center facilities and equipment, promotional support, mentoring support, and networking programs, creating an environment where they can focus on game development and business.
To foster a thriving game industry ecosystem in Daejeon, the Promotion Agency has created a new shared office space for small-scale indie developers. This is expected to lead to more diverse game projects and create synergy effects through active networking.
Companies wishing to apply can download the application form from the Promotion Agency’s website (https://www.dicia.or.kr) or the Promotion Agency’s PMS website (https://pms.dicia.or.kr) and submit it. Further details can be found on the website.
Director Lee Eun-hak said, “Through the operation of this shared residence room, we hope to provide an opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs and indie game developers to freely take on challenges and grow,” and added, “We hope that the Daejeon Global Game Center will become a space where promising game talents can gather and grow together, and we ask for a lot of interest and support from creative game developers who will become the leaders of the future.”
