Neowiz announced on the 4th that it will participate in ‘Gamescom 2025’, one of the world’s top 3 game shows, focusing on the indie games it services.
Neowiz’s strategy through this participation is to lay the foundation for success by introducing the unique indie games it publishes to the global market, while also strengthening its position as a global publisher.
Gamescom 2025 will be held in Cologne, Germany, from August 20th to 24th. Neowiz will have a dedicated booth at the Indie Arena, showcasing four games currently in development: Hello Seoul: Itaewon, Shape of Dreams, Kill the Shadow, and the global hit Sannabi. A demo zone will be set up on-site where players can play all the games.
In particular, the developers of “The Shape of Dreams” Lizard Smoothie will visit the Gamescom booth to meet with visitors in person. They plan to further enhance the game’s quality through vivid feedback from local gamers. Additionally, they will be releasing an official vinyl (LP) featuring the soundtrack “Crescent Moon” from “Hello Seoul: Itaewon,” and will also be holding an event where they will give away pin badges and tin badges that highlight the characteristics of each game.
In addition, Neowiz plans to actively promote its narrative-focused indie game contest, “Neowiz Quest,” on-site as part of its efforts to go beyond simple publishing and revitalize the indie game ecosystem.
Meanwhile, ‘Hello Seoul: Itaewon’ is a narrative-driven puzzle platformer game currently being developed by Gino Games, and is receiving attention as a highly anticipated game after winning the Grand Prix and Art Award at the ‘Busan Indie Connect Festival 2024’.
Lizard Smoothie’s new MOBA roguelike action game, “Shape of Dreams,” and Chinese indie developer Shadowlight’s “Kill the Shadow,” will also use Gamescom to gain global recognition. “Sannabi,” which received overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam, is expected to continue its popularity in the European market.
