IAMGAME announced on the 28th that it would be conducting a closed beta test (CBT) of its deck-building rogue-lite game ‘Master Piece,’ which it is currently developing, from November 4th to the 11th.
You can apply to participate in this CBT by clicking the ‘Request Access’ button on the ‘Master Piece’ Steam page for playtesting.
‘Master Piece’ is a deck-building rogue-lite game where you can recruit and grow various mercenaries and enjoy strategic battles. Gamers embark on a journey to solve the mystery of the black fog that covered the sky in the medieval era and, in the process, recruit various mercenaries and engage in battles by strategically utilizing their characteristics and terrain.
Gamers can enjoy a variety of new play experiences every time by utilizing 120 types of mercenaries and their unique characteristics, 60 types of relics, and 373 types of cards. In addition, the mercenary contract system allows you to recruit the mercenaries you want, allowing you to create your unique combination. After the journey ends, you can place various facilities in the campsite to add elements to help you on your next trip. This acts as a strategic element that can overcome increasingly difficult journeys.
‘Master Piece’ is a work that caught the audience’s attention at ‘BIC Festival 2024’, the largest indie game festival in Korea, last August. The long waiting lines for the game demonstration at the site proved the game’s popularity, and the game design award was recognized at the awards ceremony. In addition, it has set various awards records, such as being nominated for BIC Game Art and winning the GIGDC Silver Award.
‘Master Piece’ aims for a Steam Early Access release in the first half 2025. During the CBT, we plan to actively accept and intensively receive opinions on the game’s essential fun. Twenty testers who complete the survey among the CBT participants will be selected by lottery and given a ‘Master Piece’ Steam key that can be used after the official release.
Meanwhile, ‘Master Piece’ plans to expand its service platform, starting with Steam and then Switch and mobile.
