Lunosoft (CEO Boknam Kim) announced on the 29th that it has officially launched the emotional healing art game ‘Love is…’ through ‘STEAM’, the world’s largest electronic software distribution network.
As a game development, distribution, and publishing company, Lunosoft develops and conducts publishing business, including QA, QC, operation, and game community management. It has recently expanded its business area to the PC platform. In particular, it carries out game development and operation entirely internally. Through market analysis of its own developed and published games, it improves and proposes improvements to BM to suit Korea and local countries, thereby improving the quality of the games and providing stable services.
‘Love is…’ is a hidden picture game genre that conveys the emotions of a healing art game. It was developed based on the original intellectual property (IP) of ‘Purung’, a representative star illustrator and animator produced by Naver Grafolio.
The original author, ‘Puuung’, has published works on the subject of ‘love’ that anyone can relate to, such as ‘Comfortable and Lovely and So’, ‘I Keep Thinking of You and Missing You and So’, etc. and has recorded over 500,000 copies of paperbacks, over 8 million global SNS followers, and over 140 million cumulative YouTube video views.
The game progresses by having the user find hidden pictures against the backdrop of original illustrations. The paint spreads from their fingertips through coloring and spreading art effects to complete the illustration. In particular, the sweet OST consisting of animation clips, piano, and acoustic guitar melodies provided for each chapter fully captures the warm emotions of the original work.
‘Love is…’ was first released as a mobile version. It has received good reviews from fans worldwide, with over 3 million cumulative downloads and a cumulative score of 4.5 points on the Android and iPhone markets. In particular, the Steam version being serviced this time offers more precise, higher-quality illustrations, animations, and OSTs than the mobile version, and thanks to the unique features drawn by the author himself, it has continued to receive high interest with positive reviews and reviews immediately after its release, recording over 10,000 wish lists on the product page released before release.
After releasing the mobile version ‘Love is…’, it received recognition for its playability, including winning the Game of the Month Award (Minister of Culture Award). As a customer appreciation event to commemorate the release of the Steam version, it is being offered at a 40% discount from the regular price until September 10th.
“We are delighted to present the original IP of globally popular author Puuung to fans of the original work, following the mobile version, and now to Steam,” said Baek Cheol-min, team leader in charge of game business at Lunosoft, expressing his thoughts on the launch, saying, “It will be a unique pleasure not only for users who like the original work but also for those who enjoy healing games.”
