■ Workshop-type program that supports growth from game development, launch, and start-up
■ Provides lectures and practice that can be used in practice through a 3-level curriculum in the areas of game development and entrepreneurship
Smilegate announced on the 16th (Friday) that it will officially launch the ‘Stove Indie Creator Growth Tutorial’, a workshop program to support indie game creators to grow.
Smilegate operates a variety of indie game creation support programs, including ‘Funding Pack’ to support developers preparing for crowdfunding, and ‘Wise Demo Life’ for developers who need feedback from users. The ‘Stove Indie Creator Growth Tutorial’, which was officially launched this time, is a workshop-type program that supports indie game creators to develop and release good games and grow their own businesses.
The ‘Stove Indie Creator Growth Tutorial’ was held as a pilot workshop last November. More than 100 applicants participated in the workshop, which was held over two sessions, and spent time reflecting on the team and the game and growing through practice and discussion. With the support of the pilot workshop, Smilegate officially launched the ‘Stove Indie Creator Growth Tutorial’ and holds regular workshops every month.
The ‘Stove Indie Creator Growth Tutorial’ alternates between the two areas of ‘Game Development’ and ‘Entrepreneurship’ and consists of practical content that can be used in practice through lectures, practice, and sharing with other creators. You can participate by selecting one of three levels of curriculum according to the growth stage of you/your team, and you can participate repeatedly. Participants can not only solve their concerns about game development and entrepreneurship, but also have the opportunity to interact with indie creators.
The first ‘Stove Indie Creator Growth Tutorial’ held on the 15th (Thursday) was successful with about 30 people attending. The next workshop is scheduled to be held on the 21st of next month (Thursday), and any creator who wants to grow in all stages from game planning to starting a business can apply.
Meanwhile, Smilegate Stove Indie has launched a new ‘Stove Indie Newsletter’ that delivers development, release, and marketing information that can be helpful to indie game creators. Detailed information about Smilegate’s ‘Stove Indie Creator Growth Tutorial’ can be found on the Stove Indie Support Program page ( https://forcreators.stoveindie.com/tutorial ) or the Stove Indie newsletter.
