– Punk Land presents a success story of a single developer… Received more than KRW 600 million as a single developer who achieved the highest cumulative settlement amount
– Recorded the highest monthly sales since the release of Punk Land in July… The continued emergence of games with monthly sales exceeding 100 million won
Supercat (CEO Kim Young-eul) announced on the 8th that the cumulative settlement paid to game developers who release and operate games on its indie game platform ‘Punkland’ has exceeded 5 billion won.
‘Punkland’ is an indie game platform and a no-coding development tool that provides one-stop support for functions necessary for game development. In Punk Land, 40% of game sales are paid to developers who launch and operate games. As of 2022, the revenue settlement ratio of game developers in Punk Land recorded 47.8%, and the developer’s preferential policy is continued by sharing revenue above the introductory settlement rate.
The cumulative settlement paid to game developers has been counted since 2019, when ‘Punk Land’ was released under the name ‘Neko Land,’ and exceeded 5 billion won as of the closing date in July. The developer who has received the most settlement so far is a single developer who received more than 600 million won.
In July, the platform itself recorded the highest monthly sales since the launch of Punk Land, and two games exceeded 100 million won in monthly sales. Among them, ‘Daksa RPG,’ introduced by a single developer, ‘Samsam Games,’ showed the potential to exceed KRW 100 million in sales in just 13 days of service, suggesting a new equation for success for a single developer.
Ha Young-min, team leader of Punk Land, said, “Thanks to the active game developers and users of Punk Land, we were able to achieve a cumulative settlement of 5 billion won.” As more and more people ask about how to make games, we will continue maximizing the convenience of Punk Land game development.”
