The Korea Internet Business Association (Chairman Park Seong-ho) announced that it would resume the game-related startup exhibition booth support project at the BTB Pavilion of ‘G-STAR 2022’, an international game exhibition to be held in BEXCO, Busan, in November.

The Korea Internet Companies Association has continued to support game-related startups with BTB exhibitions to support game industry business vitalization and startup growth, but over the past two years (2020, 2021), The government had no choice but to stop the support due to compliance with the quarantine guidelines. However, from this year, when the government’s quarantine guidelines such as the lifting of social distancing have been relaxed, various support projects for the development of the game industry are scheduled to resume.

This ‘G-STAR 2022’ BTB pavilion exhibition support is sponsored by NCSOFT to support the assembly booths of a total of 9 game-related startups (participants). In addition, there will be time to exchange information, such as a meeting to discuss major issues by establishing and strengthening networks between NCsoft and participating companies.

Startups wishing to participate can apply through the website of the Korea Internet Business Association (kinternet.org) by September 23. The final participating startups will be finalized and announced on September 30th after a written examination based on the submitted documents.

An official from the Korea Internet Companies Association said, “We hope that the contents of game start-ups will receive attention from domestic and foreign officials and become a place of opportunity to leap and grow in the market. We will come up with a variety of support measures for this,” he said.
