NXC director Kim Jeong-ju, who founded the game company Nexon, passed away at the age of 54.
NXC, Nexon’s holding company, announced on the 1st that “Nexon’s founder Kim Jeong-ju passed away in the United States at the end of last month.”
NXC explained, “I ask for your understanding that I cannot explain in detail because the bereaved family is in a devastating situation.”
The company said, “I sincerely hope that you will consider the hearts of the bereaved families who are trying to send the deceased away quietly.”
Born in 1968, the deceased graduated from the Department of Computer Engineering at Seoul National University and obtained a master’s degree in computer science from the Graduate School of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He quit his doctoral program after six months and founded Nexon in 1994 and raised it as a representative game company in Korea.
