The representative game of the mystery indie game development team Tetrapod, the Staffer Series, will be participating in the Steam Detective Fest, which will be held from January 13th to January 20th.
The Steam Mystery Festival is Steam’s official genre-specific discount event that focuses on games themed around mystery, investigation, and interrogation, and is one of the annual events that attracts attention from mystery game fans around the world.
During this event, two previous titles in the Stepper series are being offered at limited-time discounts. “Stepper Case: Superpower Mystery Quest” is 39% off, and “Stepper Ribbon” is 38% off.
The Stepper series is a domestic mystery game series that deals with the story of a world where supernatural powers exist. It is a story-centered mystery adventure IP series where players explore the story, collect documents, and analyze the clues within them to get to the truth of the case.
These works have received ‘overwhelmingly positive’ Steam user reviews since their first release, thanks to their deep worldview, high-quality illustrations, and combination of mystery and superpowers.
Also participating in this mystery game festival is the next installment in the series, “Staffer Retro.” Having previously won the 2025 BIC Narrative Award, the 2025 AGF, and Beaver Rocks, this title has been revealed at various domestic game events. While sharing the same worldview as its predecessor, it contains a brand-new story, making it a delightful experience for both fans of the original and newcomers alike. A demo version is currently available on Steam.
Team Tetrapod said, “We hope that this Steam Mystery Game Festival will be a meaningful starting point for both new and existing mystery game fans, and we look forward to seeing you all for the new Stepper Retro game that will be released in 2026.”
