The Korea Artificial Intelligence Game Association and Ullim Voice Acting Academy are launching a new “Game Voice Lab.”
◯ Providing realistic voice content support for indie game developers and opportunities for practical experience for voice actors and aspiring voice actors.
◯ Presenting a sustainable indie game and voice content collaboration model through community-based matching.
The Korea Artificial Intelligence Game Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) and Urim Voice Acting Academy are beginning a collaboration to revitalize the indie game voice content sector.
This collaboration is a community-based collaboration model that connects indie game developers with voice actors and aspiring voice actors, and will be conducted through the new category ‘Game Voice Lab ( https://cafe.naver.com/fe/cafes/29762538/menus/95?viewType=L )’ within the association’s official community ‘Indiplus ( https://cafe.naver.com/indiplus )’.
The association aims to support the development ecosystem so that indie game developers can create high-quality games without financial burden. In collaboration with the Ullim Voice Acting Academy, the association plans and operates the ‘Game Voice Lab’, a collaborative model based on the Indieple community, and will support indie game developers to utilize voice content in a more realistic environment.
Through this collaboration, Woollim Voice Acting Academy will provide a foundation for voice actors and aspiring voice actors to gain practical experience and build portfolios by participating in actual game projects. Beyond simple practice assignments, the program aims to provide exposure to real-world indie game development, thereby simultaneously enhancing educational effectiveness and practical application.
The collaboration between the two organizations is significant in that it creates a win-win synergy by providing a realistic voice content production environment for indie game developers and a practical participation opportunity for voice actors and aspiring voice actors.
“Game Voice Lab” operates as a category within Indieple, a community-based platform established by the association. Voice actors and aspiring voice actors can register a voice profile, including a personal voice sample and a brief introduction, in this category. Indie game development teams can post a collaboration inquiry post outlining their project and the required voice range. This facilitates natural matching and communication within the community, and the association can guide the bulletin board operation and provide basic management to foster a healthy collaborative culture.
The association expects that this category will serve as a practical collaborative window that will not only revitalize the indie community but also enhance the overall completion of the indie game production environment.
