Neowiz (Co-CEOs Seung-cheol Kim and Tae-geun Bae) announced on the 18th that it will participate in the game show ‘WePlay EXPO 2025’ held in Shanghai, China for two days from the 22nd to the 23rd, showcasing its popular games.
At this event, a dedicated booth will be set up under the ‘Neowiz Indie Quest’ brand, where ‘Sannabi Side Story: Haunted Day’, ‘Hello Seoul: Itaewon’, and ‘Kill the Shadow’ will be on display, allowing visitors to try out the games themselves. ‘Shape of Dreams’ and ‘P’s Lie: Prelude’ will be available at the collaborative booths with Chinese game publisher XD Network (心动网络) and ‘Heybox’, respectively.
The Neowiz booth will host various on-site events centered around “Sannabi Side Story: The Day I Got Haunted.” First, the “Beat the Director” speedrun event will be held. Users who pre-register through the Chinese community can challenge the game clear record of Wonder Potion Director Yoo Seung-hyun, the developer of Sannabi, and earn rewards based on their final ranking. A “Speedrun Ranking Event,” where participants compete to reach specific game sections within the fastest time possible, will also be held throughout the booth’s operation.
Kill the Shadow will be releasing its first demo version with Chinese voiceovers on-site. This build will be updated to Steam after the conclusion of WePlay Expo 2025.
Having sold over 600,000 copies in just two months since its release, “The Shape of Dreams” is actively engaging with its local fans. The developers from Lizard Smoothie will personally introduce the game and share updates. Various events will also be held for the developers and attendees to enjoy.
In addition, Neowiz’s self-developed work ‘P’s Lie: Prelude’ will provide the audience with the fun of challenges through ‘Beat the Developers’ and ‘Speed Run Events’, and will also hold signing events with the developers to meet with local fans.
A Neowiz official said, “Neowiz has been strengthening its role as a publisher that continuously discovers unique indie games and introduces them to the global market,” and “Through this participation in WePlay Expo 2025, we will interact with local fans and target the global market, including China.”
Meanwhile, ‘WePlay Expo 2025’ is a large-scale game and culture exhibition held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.
