Gyeonggi Province will host ‘Gyeonggi Game Connect 2025’ at the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center in Pangyo for two days on the 30th and 31st.

“Gyeonggi Game Connect 2025” is the follow-up program to “PlayXpo,” the largest game show in the Seoul metropolitan area held annually in May. This year marks the second iteration of the event, following last year’s. Its key differences from last year’s event include expanded business consultations to enhance follow-up support for participating developers and the establishment of a global seminar to bolster global expansion capabilities.

The first day is Public Day, featuring a program geared toward both game industry professionals and anyone interested in gaming. In the morning, a job fair will be held for game industry job seekers, providing an opportunity to connect with recruiting teams from promising game developers like Neowiz, Pearl Abyss, Superfast, and NHN.

In the afternoon, global speakers from the gaming industry, including ByteDance (head of TikTok’s minigame division) and Neobuzz (developer of Silent Hill F), will give lectures. ByteDance will discuss “New Opportunities for Entering China” and “How to Reduce Your Recovery Cycle by 3x with TikTok Minigames,” while Neobuzz will discuss their recently released “Silent Hill F.”

Additionally, on-site FGT (pre-launch user testing) will be conducted for participating companies in the “Gyeonggi Game Public-Private-Academic Collaboration FGT Support Project” and game companies supported by Gyeonggi Province. This program, primarily open to pre-registered participants, allows participants to experience and review 15 indie games.

The second day of the event is a business day, consisting of business matching and investment presentations between game developers and buyers, indie seminars, and networking sessions.

At the investor relations (IR) presentation, small and medium-sized developers will present and promote their investment strategies, followed immediately by a business consultation session. Any developer or buyer seeking business matching is welcome to attend, and a networking party will follow to provide opportunities to connect with relevant industry professionals.

Additionally, an indie seminar will be held on the first floor of the event venue. Wonder Potion CEO Seunghyun Yoo (developer of Sannabi), Lizard Smoothie CEO Eunseop Shim (developer of Shape of Dreams), and Kassel Games CEO Seongjin Hwang (developer of Latopia) will be in attendance to share their indie development process.

In addition, you can enjoy experiential programs such as AI photo booths, keychain making, and merchandise sales during the event.

Bae Young-sang, head of the Digital Innovation Division, said, “Most small and medium-sized indie game companies have limited manpower and face difficulties in development, sales channels, marketing, and recruiting, making it difficult for them to compete with large companies or enter the global market.” He added, “This event will be a great opportunity to strengthen companies’ capabilities and attract investment through consulting and seminars.”

Pre-registration and program schedule can be found on the website ( g-gameconnect.oopy.io ) and the Eventus platform ( event-us.kr/gca/event/112650 ).
