On Saturday, October 25th, a new type of game festival, ‘ALT+G’, where indie game developers and users can enjoy together, will be held at 97-1 Yeonmujang-gil, Seongsu-dong, Seoul.
This event is the first official offline festival hosted by IGG Korea (Indie Games Group Korea), an indie game developer community sponsored by Google Play.
IGG Korea is the Korean chapter of the ‘Indie Games Group’, a global community connecting indie developers around the world. Since its launch in 2024, it has continued to revitalize the domestic indie game ecosystem and promote international cooperation through developer seminars, networking, and overseas exchange events.
This year’s ALT+G aims to be a multi-cultural indie game festival where indie and creativity, trendiness and playfulness coexist, with the slogan ‘Our Alternative Indie-Game Festival’.
ALT+G will feature eight exhibition works and two sponsored works selected through a rigorous screening process, allowing visitors to experience indie games of various genres and styles firsthand.
In addition to the flea market, the yard will also host music performances by renowned DJs. Attendees can savor hot dogs from Hannam-dong’s popular DogDogDog brand and complimentary Red Bull drinks to immerse themselves in the autumn festival atmosphere.
The event will feature a variety of interactive events, including a stamp tour and an indie game voting draw. Participants will receive exclusive ALT+G merchandise, as well as gaming gear such as keyboards and mice from global gaming gear brand DareU.
