Com2uS (CEO Nam Jae-kwan) is hosting the global game development contest ‘Com:On’ for the second time this year to discover and support promising game developers.

“Com:On,” which debuted last year, received a rave review from many game creators, receiving over 250 submissions. This year, Com2uS, in collaboration with the Game Culture Foundation (Chairman Yoo Byung-han), will host its second contest to support the game development talent that will lead the future of the gaming industry.

The contest category is open to original games developed by participants themselves. Any Korean resident aged 14 or older with an interest in game development is eligible to participate. This year, the eligibility requirements have been relaxed to allow even solo developers and employees of indie game developers to participate, providing opportunities for a wider range of talented individuals.

The prize pool totals 40 million won, including the grand prize of 20 million won. Winners will also receive various practical benefits, including bonus points when applying for a job at Com2uS and free access to Com2uS’s global gaming platform, “Hive.”

Those wishing to participate can submit their works through the official contest website from October 30 to December 31.

From 2018 to 2023, Com2uS supported story creators who will lead the global game and content industries through the “Com2uS Global Content Literature Award.” Since last year, Com2uS has also hosted the global game development contest “Com:On,” discovering innovative game development talent and IP, contributing to the development of the domestic and international game industries.
