The Game Talent Center, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Yoo In-chon) and operated by the Korea Creative Content Agency (Acting President Yoo Hyeon-seok, hereinafter referred to as KOCCA), is recruiting new students for its 7th batch from December 13 to January 13.
The Game Talent Institute is a professional human resource development institution that will lead the domestic game industry. Since its opening in 2019, it has produced a total of 194 excellent game development talents in four groups until 2024. The curriculum is operated as a two-year long-term course, and provides practical education in which developers working in the game industry directly participate, as well as practical training (artificial intelligence, console games, etc.) that reflects the latest technologies and industry trends.

The 7th class of students to be recruited this time will be comprised of approximately 120 students, including ▲Game Planning Department (30 students) ▲Game Art Department (40 students) ▲Game Programming Department (50 students). Anyone interested in games can apply, and the final selection will be made at the end of February 2025 after the first document screening and the two-week preschool screening. This training course will begin in March 2025.
The Game Talent Institute’s curriculum consists of ▲1st year, common in-depth education and mini team projects by department ▲2nd year, team project development process similar to actual game development. Game Talent Academy graduates are actively working in various game industries such as large corporations, mid-sized companies, and small and medium-sized companies, and the employment and entrepreneurship rate of graduates from the 1st to 3rd classes is 84%. The 2024 Game Talent Academy trainees have achieved achievements such as being selected for the Tokyo Game Show 2024 and winning the Japanese Creator POCKY Award, and winning the BIC (Busan Indie Connect Festival) 2024 Excellence in Experimental and Public Pick.
Meanwhile, KOCCA will showcase eight games, which are the graduation projects of the 5th batch of Game Talent Academy students, at the international game exhibition ‘G-STAR 2024’ to be held at BEXCO in Busan from the 14th to the 17th.
