French indie developer Super AC officially announced that its new real-time tactical stealth title , ‘Prohibeast,’ has entered the final development stage. Along with this announcement, a feature trailer showcasing the game’s core mechanics and unique worldview was also released.
‘Prohibition’ is a tactical stealth game set in an alternate history Chicago where a ‘Meat Prohibition’ was enforced instead of Prohibition. Players lead a team of anthropomorphic Untouchables against criminal organizations and must navigate the game through strategic stealth and teamwork.
Chicago in an alternate history where meat, not alcohol, is banned
‘Prohibist’ is set in 1930s Chicago, but depicts an alternate history world different from reality. In this world, Prohibition no longer applies to alcohol but to meat, and it is set in an anthropomorphic world inhabited by humanoid animals.
After meat consumption was completely banned, Al Capone seized control of the illegal meat trafficking business, built a massive criminal empire, and dominated the city. Players take control of the real-life historical figure Eliot Ness, leading the ‘Untouchables’ special forces unit on a mission to bring down the criminal organization.
Real-time tactical infiltration continuing the lineage of Commandos
The game bills itself as a real-time tactical stealth game, typified by the Commandos series, and the combination of team members with complementary abilities is the core of the strategy.
The team consists of leader Elliott Ness, veteran Malone B. Clonan, sniper Frank E. Eager, scientist and doctor Alice Curie, and undercover thief Tina Sanders.
Each mission can be solved using various approaches, such as infiltration, silent elimination, and strategic disruption, while complex environmental systems involving cover utilization, line of sight management, sound control, and enemy sight, hearing, and smell add depth to tactical operations. The exploration areas consist of iconic Chicago locations, including The Loop, the Mayor’s Mansion, and Lake Michigan Docks.

Super AC is a Paris-based French indie game publisher and developer. ‘Prohibist’ is their first title, and it garnered attention after being selected as an official entry for ‘Games Made in France 2025 (GMIF2025),’ a French game industry promotion event, in May 2025.
It has garnered attention from international media for its unique worldview and strategic design, and is rapidly building its presence on Steam wishlists. Currently, the development team is focusing on balance adjustments, optimization, and finalizing content ahead of the launch.
