A total of 18 companies were selected across three fields: IP convergence, AI convergence, and hybrid casual wear, receiving up to KRW 110 million in support.
The Gyeonggi Content Agency is recruiting companies to participate in the ‘2026 Gyeonggi Game Production Support Project’ to strengthen the competitiveness of local game developers.
This project is a program that selects a total of 18 companies in three fields, including IP convergence, AI convergence, and hybrid casual, targeting game developers located in Gyeonggi-do, and provides game production costs and technology and commercialization support.
A notable feature of this project is that it goes beyond simple production cost support to include content IP licensing, AI solution provision, and global publishing integration . Applications will be accepted from March 17 to 3:00 PM on April 1 , and will be processed through the integrated subsidy portal, e-Nara Help .
Support for production of a total of 18 game developers
This project will select a total of 18 companies, including 4 IP convergence companies, 4 AI convergence companies, and 10 hybrid casual companies, and support game production by field.
| field | Selection scale | subsidy |
|---|---|---|
| IP convergence | 4 companies | Up to 110 million won |
| AI convergence | 4 companies | 50 million won per company |
| Hybrid casual | 10 companies | Up to 25 million won |
Support for game development utilizing webtoon, character, and broadcast IP
The IP Convergence field is a program that supports game production using popular content IP.
Participating companies must propose a game development project using one of the IPs provided during the business application process. Currently, major collaborative IPs announced include Naver Webtoon, Iconix, and CJ ENM.
Available IP includes the following works:
▲ Night Run ▲ Pigsty ▲ The Last Warrior ▲ Vigilante ▲ The Knight of the Remaining Flame ▲ Kubera ▲ Pororo the Little Bus ▲ Tayo the Little Bus ▲ Luffy the Remaining Flame ▲ Street Dance Series, etc.
Production costs of up to 110 million won will be differentially supported based on evaluation ranking. However, at least 10% of the subsidy must be self-funded. Furthermore, MG (Minimum Guarantee) fees may be incurred during the licensing agreement process with the IP company, so prior confirmation is required.
AI game development using NC AI VARCO technology
The AI Convergence Track supports game development projects utilizing NC AI’s VARCO AI solution. Each of the four selected companies will receive an equal amount of 50 million won in production costs.
The main conditions are ▲ 3D Game: More than 50% of core assets are produced with VARCO 3D. ▲ 2D Game: Creating sound assets with VARCO Sound ▲ Submission of game content + AI-utilizing game development manual (approximately 70 pages), etc.
The VARCO credit usage fee of 3 million won must be allocated within the self-funded amount, and the copyright guidelines related to generative AI must be followed.
Supercent-linked global casual game development
The Hybrid Casual track is being run in collaboration with global hyper-casual publisher Supercent. Ten companies will be selected for this category, with production funding of up to 25 million won .
Hybrid casual games ▲ Hypercasual accessibility ▲ A genre that combines the growth structure of mid-core games, it is growing rapidly in the global mobile market.
This track offers the lowest barrier to entry, with no out-of-pocket costs. Furthermore, the top five companies will receive intensive support for testing and improvement, and will be given the opportunity to consider MG payments for future publishing contracts. However, games previously tested or published by Supercent are not eligible to apply.
Support for global FGT and performance reporting meetings
In addition to production support, selected companies will participate in a commercialization linkage program.
In particular, a global Focus Group Test (FGT) will be conducted in the second half of the year (scheduled for September-October), which will allow for verification of the game’s completeness and market response. Furthermore, a performance reporting program will be held at the end of the project, providing a forum to share development progress and future commercialization potential.
