Smilegate Future Lab (CEO Kwon Hyuk-bin) announced on Wednesday the 19th that it has revealed the main programs and lineup of participating influencers for the indie game & culture festival ‘Beaver Rocks 2025’.
Beaver Rocks 2025 will feature programs that bring together creators, fans, indie games, and culture. In addition to demonstrations of 82 works on display, a variety of events will take place throughout the three days, starting with influencer play sessions and signings, followed by lectures by creators, indie game talks, and voice actor dubbing shows.
On Friday the 5th, the first day of the event, programs will be held for indie game fans and aspiring creators. First, internet broadcaster “Su-ryeon-su-ryeon” will play indie games on-site and hold a signing event. Next, Wonder Potion CEO Yoo Seung-hyun will give a lecture to college student creators, discussing practical concerns about creation and careers. Kim Seong-hoe of the gaming YouTube channel “G-Encyclopedia” will lead an indie game talk program throughout the three days. He will share interesting stories about indie games, including notable titles from this year’s Beaver Rocks.
On Saturday, the second day, games born from “Beaver Jam with Naver Webtoon” will take the stage. Kimong, the creator of the Naver webtoon “Shy Tiger Coco,” will play a game based on his work and enjoy Beaver Rocks with fans. Game creator Jjamtasua will also be on-site to play the game and meet fans. Additionally, Anthony Lai, CEO of global mobile game company TapBlaze, will give a creator lecture, sharing his experiences in the global market and his indie sensibility.
Sunday, the final day of the festival, will feature a grand finale featuring voice acting performances and indie game programming. Voice actor Kim Ye-rim, who voiced Joy in “K-Pop Demon Hunters,” and professional gamer-turned-game commentator Lee Hyun-woo, known as “CLTEM,” will connect with fans and enjoy indie games.
Beaver Rocks, now in its fourth year, is Korea’s leading indie game festival, attracting over 28,000 visitors as of last year. Tickets for “Beaver Rocks 2025” are available for purchase through Naver Reservations and Ticket Link.
