Organizing Committee Chairman Cho Young-ki said, “This year’s G-STAR, which celebrates its 21st anniversary, is an important starting point that shows the path the game industry will take over the next 20 years. Based on this exhibition, we will do our best to lead innovation and growth in the global game industry and widely publicize the infinite possibilities and future vision of games.”

NCSoft participates as the main sponsor of G-Star for the first time, creating a 300-booth experience center for new games.

NCsoft will be participating as the main sponsor of G-Star for the first time this year. Through this sponsorship, NCsoft plans to announce its new endeavors and expand its reach with gamers.

In particular, by setting up the largest booth in the BTC exhibition hall, 300 booths, we plan to create an immersive demonstration environment where visitors can directly experience the next-generation new titles, while also presenting various interactive events that visitors can actively enjoy on-site, further raising the excitement of G-Star.

G-STAR’s new visual identity born from collaboration with webtoon artists.

G-Star, which boasts a history spanning over 20 years, unveiled a new key visual created for the first time this year in collaboration with a leading Naver Webtoon artist. This collaboration brought together artist Moon Jeong-hoo, who has left a significant mark on Korean comics history with works like “Yongbi Bulpae,” “Gosu,” and “Asura,” and who boasts a large fan base for his unique art style and narrative, creating a fresh new face for G-Star.

The key visual released this time will be actively utilized throughout G-Star, including not only as promotional images for the event, but also in offline exhibition spaces, online platforms, various campaigns, and promotional channels.

Notably, this project will not be a one-time collaboration, but will establish itself as an ongoing model, with new artists collaborating with each year. Through this, G-STAR’s key visual will transcend mere symbolism and become a unique content that evolves and evolves each year. This will provide both exhibitors and visitors with a unique and engaging experience unique to G-STAR.

G-CON 2025, the first narrative-themed conference, opens

G-CON 2025, which has established itself as a core program of G-STAR, boasts record-breaking growth every year and continues to embrace new changes and challenges this year. This year’s event, focusing on “narrative,” a key topic in the gaming industry, will bring together creators from diverse fields, including games, film, webtoons, and animation, to explore the power of storytelling.

In particular, key developers behind globally acclaimed titles such as Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Claire Obscur: The Thirty-Third Expedition, as well as creators representing each field, will participate to share their experiences and philosophies. Furthermore, the program will go beyond simple presentations and incorporate conversations and discussions, allowing the audience to gain a deeper and more multifaceted perspective on the essence and future of narrative.

Meanwhile, G-CON 2025, with global energy drink ‘Monster Energy’ as the official beverage sponsor, will be held at the BEXCO Convention Hall in Busan for two days from November 13th to 14th, and the second speaker lineup is scheduled to be additionally announced in September.

G-Star Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy Expansion

Last year, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of G-Star, the indie exhibition, which was significantly expanded in scale and presented under the new name of ‘Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy’, has evolved to the next level this year.

This year’s Indie Exhibition will be larger than last year, encouraging active participation from domestic and international indie developers and offering visitors the opportunity to experience a wider variety of indie games. Furthermore, it will provide a forum for developers to freely exchange visions and ideas.

The organizing committee stated that it expects this expanded event to establish indie content as another core axis of G-STAR, while also strengthening ties with the global indie ecosystem and contributing to the continued growth of the overall game industry.

General admission ticket sales begin on Tuesday, October 14th.

G-STAR 2025 aims to operate with consideration for not only safety but also visitor convenience and fairness. With the 100% advance ticket reservation system now in its third year, institutional stability has been fully established, leading to continued positive results, such as eliminating double waiting and creating a pleasant exhibition environment.

The organizing committee plans to comprehensively analyze accumulated visitor trends and previous year’s operational data to optimize ticket distribution, effectively distribute attendance, and create a highly satisfying viewing experience. In particular, the entrance routes inside and outside the exhibition hall have been designed to enhance viewing convenience while preventing fraudulent entry (such as line-cutting and unauthorized entry), ensuring a fair and pleasant experience for everyone.

In addition, we plan to expand cooperation with police, fire, and security personnel to develop specific situation-specific response manuals and establish a system that can respond immediately to unexpected situations, thereby presenting a “Safe G-STAR 2025” where visitors can enjoy the event with peace of mind.
