Smilegate announced on Friday the 21st that the indie game platform ‘Stove Indie’ will begin crowdfunding through Tumblbug for ‘Storm’s Maid’, currently in development by domestic developer Burger Duck Games (Co-CEOs Lee Hee-seok and Noh Seung-jin). Along with this, the plan for a Stove Indie subculture universe expansion project using ‘Storm’s Maid’ was also revealed.
‘Storm Maid’ is a tycoon genre game where you run a cafe with cute maid characters in adorable dot graphics. You can enjoy various episodes taking place in a maid cafe, fierce sales competition, and various mini games.
‘Storm Maid’, which signed a publishing contract with Stove Indie, will be conducting a crowdfunding through Tumblbug until the 23rd (Sun) of next month. Along with the funding, a stretch goal event will also be held, and depending on the funding amount achieved, collaboration content with Stove Indie’s popular visual novel title ‘Exciting Ambitious Work’ will be released.
If the target amount of 1,000% is achieved, you will be able to see the collaboration content with ‘Love Delivery’, one of Stove Indie’s most popular works. The official launch after the funding ends is scheduled for Monday, April 7th.
Meanwhile, Stove Indie also revealed plans for the subculture expansion project ‘Heart-pounding Heroine Universe’, starting with ‘Storm Maid’. Stove Indie plans to strengthen the connection between subculture games, create synergy between IPs, and re-examine the popularity of subculture brands.
First, Stove Indie will select a popular heroine from its representative visual novels and subculture games every month and collaborate with ‘Storm Maid’. Users will be able to experience a different side of their favorite heroine, and the game will be able to extend the fun of the game through communication with users. Stove Indie will select a ‘Heroine of the Month’ in the future to highlight the character and also provide collaboration DLC with popular titles, themed events, and limited content.
